Young Living’s Northern Lights Farm has been a personal labour of love for Young Living founder D. Gary Young. Following extensive research and scouting for a new source of Black Spruce essential oil, free of synthetic chemicals and fertilizers, Young Living purchased land in Fort Nelson, British Columbia in 2014.
Black Spruce Essential Oil, first distilled at Northern Lights on March 9, 2015, reflects the character of the trees from which it is derived, echoing their resilient, deeply rooted strength. This powerful oil is a key ingredient in many of Young Living’s most popular oil blends, contributing its grounding, rich, woodsy scent to favourites like Valor.
Young Living is proud to set the standard for essential oil purity and authenticity through our unique Seed to Seal® process. The secret to our quality? It’s found on our farms globally where we cultivate premium botanicals like black spruce.
Because we nurture, harvest, and distill many of our own essential oils, we can verify their purity from start to finish. It’s our unwavering dedication to authenticity that gives you an essential oil experience unlike any other, and it all starts with our farms.
Like the character of the people who proudly make their home Fort Nelson, and have joined Young Living in our endeavour to bring the best Black Spruce essential oil to the world, the Northern Lights Farm, and the powerful Black Spruce essential oil distilled there, is yet another reason to be a proud Canadian oiler.
